Balthier perks at the choice of words Demyx uses, raising an eyebrow, "What could you possibly be missing?" he looks Demyx over, a smile on his face, bejeweled fingers tapping the table lightly. He was feeling quite at ease here, in the corner of the café, even if Demyx's teasing earlier had gotten the sky pirate a bit worked up, it was nothing a bit of conversation and some food wouldn't cure. He watches Demyx's movements, his energy and his nervous confidence. It all reminds Balthier of someone back home and he can't hide the dark look that enters his eyes for a moment and he looks away, trying not to frown.
He fidgets with the menu for a moment before looking back up to Demyx, the smile back on his face as if it had never left.

I've been feeling rather quiet of late, had a bit of a run in with far too much liquor than one would be expected to (be able to) consume, and have been lying low in the inn I've taken to residing in for the time being. While I may have been wealthy in Ivalice, it seems I haven't the wherewithal to purchase a more suitable residence for the time being. A shame, to be sure.
Regardless, I am enjoying my vacation, as unconventional as it is, though more charming company than the now empty bottle of port would be favorable.
I should think it would be wise to be more sociable. Ergo, due to the others I have seen wandering around the café following this intriguing fad:
Ask the right question and I'll not tell lies. Ask me the wrong, and you'd best be prepared for persuasion.
